1. Agreement to Terms
Please read these Terms of Service ('Terms') carefully before using Submerge. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the creators of Submerge. By installing our browser extension, accessing our website, or using any associated services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our Service.
2. Account Registration & Security
To access full features of Submerge, you need to create an account. You agree to: (a) provide an accurate, current, and complete email address; (b) maintain the security of your credentials and session tokens; (c) take full responsibility for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify Submerge immediately of any unauthorized use or security breach regarding your account.
3. Services, Subscriptions & Billing
Submerge offers free trial access alongside premium Pro subscription plans: (a) Free trial quota is provided to explore article capture, bilingual translation, and core diagnostic tools; (b) Pro subscriptions are billed on a recurring monthly cycle and provide expanded allowances with unlimited output practice; (c) All payments and billing management are securely processed by Stripe; (d) You may cancel your subscription renewal at any time directly through your Account Billing settings, and your access will continue through the end of the current paid billing cycle.
4. User Content & Intellectual Responsibility
You retain full ownership of any text, notes, or learning materials you capture, import, or generate through the Service. You represent and warrant that: (a) you have the necessary legal rights, permissions, or fair use authorization to process such content; (b) your use of the Service does not violate any third-party intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or applicable laws.
5. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to misuse the Service or assist anyone else in doing so. Prohibited conduct includes: (a) reverse engineering, decompiling, or scraping the browser extension or backend APIs; (b) attempting to circumvent usage rate limits, quotas, or security access controls; (c) using the Service to generate or distribute spam, harmful, or unlawful material; (d) imposing unreasonable or disproportionately large loads on our cloud infrastructure and translation gateways.
6. Intellectual Property Rights
All intellectual property rights in the Service—including the Submerge browser extension source code, AI orchestration workflows, user interface designs, logos, brand assets, and proprietary educational methodologies—are owned exclusively by Submerge and its licensors. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Submerge grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the platform solely for your personal language learning purposes.
7. Limitation of Liability & Disclaimers
The Submerge Service is provided on an 'AS-IS' and 'AS-AVAILABLE' basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Submerge and its developers disclaim all warranties, express or implied, and shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Service.
